dc.description.abstract | The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of virtual learning on students’ academic performance; a case study of school of statistics and planning. The study used questionnaires to collect data from a sample size of 95 students. Findings indicated that access to computer/Smartphone (P=0.000), access to webcam (p=0.002) significantly affects student’s academics. Findings revealed access to internet connection (p=0.017), internet affordability/cost (P=0.003) had a significant effect on academic performance. Findings revealed that access to video conferencing software zoom (P=0.000) had a significant effect on academic performance. The study concluded that virtual learning affects students’ academic performance through a variety of factors. The study therefore recommended that similar study should be conducted covering the whole of Makerere University colleges so as to get results that can be used in generalizing the impact of virtual learning on overall academic performance at Makerere University | en_US |
