This study assessed the influence of M&E on project performance at IRC IMVEPI. The study was guided by three specific objectives namely; to investigate the influence of M&E training on project performance, to investigate the influence of stakeholders’ participation in M&E on project performance, and to investigate the influence of budgetary allocation towards M&E on project performance. Simple random sampling techniques were used to select the targeted 50 respondents to participate in the study. A structured questionnaire consisting of closed ended questions were used to acquire data and SPSS 23.0 software was used to analyze the data. According to the result of the study, the response rate was 88.0 percent and the majority of the respondents (70.5 percent) were male. At the bivariate level of analysis, project performance was established to have a significant positive relationship with M&E (M&E training, stakeholders’ participation in project M&E, and budgetary allocation towards M&E). Furthermore, at the multivariate level of analysis, the study revealed that, for every one-unit increase in the; M&E training, stakeholders’ participation in project M&E, and budgetary allocation towards M&E, there was a predicted improvement of 0.261, 0.335, and 0.233, respectively in project performance. Therefore, the study concluded that; M&E training, stakeholders’ participation in project M&E, and budgetary allocation towards M&E had a positive influence on project performance at 5 percent level of significance. Based on the findings of the study, the researcher recommends that more effort should be devoted to improving project M&E in order to enhance project performance. The researcher further recommends that future studies should consider extending the study to other Non-Governmental Organizations and public institutions in the country to ascertain whether the variables in this study also affect the employees’ performance there.en_US
