The E-learning system is a learning system based on formalized teaching but with the help of electronic resources while teaching can be based in or out of the classroom the use of computers and internet forms the major components of E-learning. This research puts light to the major factors that influence or contribute to a student’s performance while using e-learning platforms in Uganda. Additionally the purpose of this project is to determine whether cost of E-learning, availability of equipment, time spent on e-learning, availability of e-learning internet connection and coverage of course content affects student’s performance. The data for this research was collected through surveys from students at school of statistics and planning Makerere University. My findings indicated that increase in the cost of e-learning leads to poor performance of students, a student without e-learning equipment is likely to perform poorly, a student who spent most of their time on e-learning platform is more likely to perform better and a student who had a potential coverage of course was more likely to perform poorly. These findings indicate that cost of e-learning equipment's, time spent on e-learning platforms and course coverage should be taken into critical consideration when planning for e-learning.en_US
