Malaria is a deadly endemic disease caused by parasites that are spread to people through the bites of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes. The disease is preventable and curable if early diagnosed. In 2017, Sub Saharan region statistics showed that there were 92% of malaria cases and 93% of malaria deaths. The study used secondary data from the Uganda 2014-15 Malaria Indicator Survey dataset. A sample of 5322 women that were interviewed aged between 15- 49 years was used. Data were analyzed using Stata 14 frequency distributions and Pearson’s Chi-square test were used for descriptive data analysis. The level of significance was set at P ≤ 0.05. The Study results show that 74% women in the reproductive age (15-19) in Uganda utilized insecticide treated mosquito nets. Utilization of insecticide treated mosquito nets was significantly associated with age, residence, education, region and wealth index. It was higher among women aged 40-44 (81%), living in rural residences (76%), with no education attainment (77%), from the northern region (83%) and in the poor wealth index (79%). There should be collaboration between the government and other stakeholders to set and communicate evidence-based norms, standards, policies, technical strategies and guidelines, and promoting the adoption of ITNs. In addition, identification of threats to malaria control and elimination, as well as new areas for action such as universal health coverage implying that all women and communities receive the health services, they need without suffering financial hardship.en_US
