This study examined how online businesses are impacting the employment status of youths in Uganda. Online business has been identified as a potential avenue for creating employment opportunities and enhancing the entrepreneurial skills of youth. However, there was limited empirical evidence on the extent to which online business was contributing to youth employment in Uganda. The objective of the study was to identify the factors that affect the employment status of youth involved in online businesses and to assess how the growth of the online business sector in Uganda was affecting the employment of young people, as such the survey will collect information on the types of online businesses, the level of employment created, and the challenges facing youth entrepreneurs in running their online businesses. The study uses a survey design, with questionnaires as the main form of data collection. Stratified sampling will be used to select participants, with a total sample size of 200 youths. The data was analysed using statistical tools such as descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The study aimed to provide insights into the current state of online businesses in Uganda and their impact on the youth labour market. The findings will be of interest to policymakers, researchers, and practitioners working in the field of youth employment and online business development in Uganda.en_US
