This project is about designing and implementing a three-phase induction motor fault detection and protection that is based on a microprocessor (ATmega 328). Induction motors are utilized as a part of numerous modern applications in an extensive variety of working ranges in view of their basic and strong structure, and low manufacturing costs. Giving an insurance framework is imperative in enterprises. The reason for undertaking this project is to provide safety to industrial motors, lift motors, pumps and so on. The principal motivation behind our project is to protect induction motors from faults, for example, overvoltage and undervoltage, excessive vibrations, over temperature and over current. If temperature of the motor during operation exceeds threshold value or if the current exceeds/fall behind the threshold value, motor stops immediately. The relay switches of the motor following commands from the microprocessor. Furthermore, we are utilizing an ATmega328 microcontroller for identification of detection and a LCD to indicate which type of fault has occurred.en_US
