dc.description.abstractThis research was mainly conducted or carried out giving the most definite attention to investigate and reveal how the Basoga live harmoniously amongst one another with love and healthy social relationships through their proverbs. From the research carried out the researcher found out that the concept of love and friendship is greatly developed through the Busoga proverbs a case that is seemingly different from the western world which is mostly through film and movie category in that there is a lot of fantasy that misleads a lot of people. It was therefore the core purpose of this study to find out and show how the concept of love and friendship is presented in the several proverbs. And finally, this research recommends that the curriculum designers put more emphasis on the integration of oral literature teaching syllabus to help preserve oral literature genres in the primary, secondary and university levels.en_US
