Design and implementation of an automated SACCO management system for YAWE SACCO
Abstract
The primary aim of this project is to develop software for the automation of YAWE SACCO’s management system instead of the present manual system. Using this system, the manager does not need to go to the offices of the SACCO, or to carry books around in order to update a given loan, or to add a new member. The members of the SACCO can also check their saving and loan history in the comfort of their homes. That is because a user-friendly management system will be developed using web and mobile technologies that will enable online access and transactions for both the manager and the members. The system will also have features such as loan approval, interest calculation, loan payment records, report generation and security measures. The system will use HTML, CSS and JavaScript for the front-end design and interaction, PHP and JavaScript for the back-end logic and functionality, SQL for the database management and XAMPP and 000webhost for the local and online hosting respectively. The system will improve the efficiency, accuracy and convenience of YAWE SACCO’s operations and services.
