dc.description.abstractThe aim of this report is to present the design and fabrication of an automatic toilet flushing system. The system addresses the need for improved hygiene, water conservation, and user convenience in public toilets. The report begins by discussing the existing manual flushing systems and their limitations, including inconsistent flushing, hygiene concerns, and water wastage due to human error. This necessitates the development of an automated solution that eliminates these drawbacks. The proposed automatic flushing system employs a combination of sensor technology, control algorithms, and water management mechanisms. The system detects user presence using infrared sensors and initiates the flushing process after a predefined delay or when the user leaves the proximity area. By automating the flushing process, the system ensures consistent and timely flushing, enhancing overall cleanliness and user experience. The report also covers the technical aspects of the system, including the hardware components, sensor integration, control logic, and power management. Additionally, it outlines the challenges encountered during the development process and the corresponding solutions implemented. An extensive evaluation of the automatic flushing system was conducted in various real-world settings, including high-traffic public restrooms. The assessment focused on factors such as reliability, accuracy, water efficiency, user satisfaction, and maintenance requirements. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the system in providing consistent flushing, reducing water consumption, and improving overall cleanliness. In conclusion, the automatic flushing system presented in this report offers a reliable, efficient, and user-friendly solution for public toilets. Its implementation can lead to improved hygiene, water conservation, and enhanced user experience. Further research and refinement of the system could pave the way for widespread adoption in public facilities, contributing to sustainable and eco-friendly toilet practices. The report has 5 chapters which include project introduction, literature review, Methodology, Results and Conclusion & Recommendation.en_US
