The impact of maintenance activities on building performance is an important research topic because buildings consume a significant amount of energy and resources, and are responsible for a large portion of greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, buildings play a crucial role in the health and well-being of the people who occupy them, and regular maintenance is essential for ensuring that buildings are safe, comfortable, and functional. The built environment has a profound impact on human health, comfort, and productivity and the building maintenance has a critical role in this. Inadequate or inadequate maintenance can lead to a range of problems, such as decreased energy efficiency, poor indoor air quality, and structural damage. These issues can not only lead to increased costs for building owners and managers, but they can also have a negative impact on the health and productivity of the people who occupy the building. The need for research in this field has been increased because of the global trend of the energy efficient buildings and sustainable buildings. The research on this topic can help building owners and managers to understand the importance of regular maintenance, and to identify the most effective maintenance practices for improving building performance. The research on this topic also has the potential to inform policy and regulations related to building maintenance, and to support the development of new technologies and techniques for maintaining buildings. Moreover, with the advances in technology, IoT and Big Data, new methods of maintenance have been emerged and it is important to understand how these methods are affecting the building performance. Overall, understanding the impact of maintenance activities on building performance is essential for achieving energy-efficient, sustainable, and healthy buildingen_US
