The system is instrumental in providing accurate, complete, and timely data to users, thereby promoting efficient records management and informed decision making. Furthermore, the system offers robust reporting and analysis capabilities, empowering SACCOs with statistical insights that facilitate transparent operations and improved accountability. Our findings echo previous research emphasizing the multiple benefits of digitization, which include enhanced member services, transparency, accountability, reporting, productivity, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation, all contributing to increased profitability.
From the findings, the researcher recommends that SACCOs should embrace the use of a computerized records management systems to optimize record management, ensuring the provision of accurate, relevant, and timely financial and member service data. Training initiatives for SACCO staff and members are also advised to enhance capacity and digital literacy for effective system utilization.
