This research dissertation is about the effects of skilling the youth on employment and wealth creation in Nakawa East. The researcher was motivated to carry out this study due to the needs of the society especially employment. The major objective of the study was to critically examine the effect of skilling the youth on employment. Data was collected primarily using a questionnaire designed and interview methods to enable even those not able to read also take part. The findings were presented in tabular form in percentages and totals. 70 respondents were interviewed of which they showed high levels of cooperation. The findings are presented in bivariate and multivariate techniques of analysis. A logistic regression model was used to carry out the multivariate analysis for employment (dependent variable) and the independent variables of sex (females), technology (users) and the skilled. The findings show that, female youth are less likely to be employed compared to males odds ratio (0.766). Also technology users are less likely to get employed compared to those who don’t use technology seen by odds ratio (0.233). But the youth that were skilled are more likely to be employed compared to those not skilled with odds ratio (5.205) The recommendations are given to see how what is lacking can be addressed so as to solve the problem that was being experienced and studied about and this includes investing more time, energy and funds on equipping the youth with skills so as to create employment.en_US
