dc.description.abstract | This study examines the impact of land leasing security on residential developments in Uganda. Using a mixed methods approach, data collected from 100 respondents including residential developers, landowners, members of the BLB, tenants from two areas that is Kigo and Sentema. The study found that land leasing security significantly affects residential developments in Uganda, with developers preferring long-term leases and secure tenure arrangements. This study also identified factors that influence land leasing security include the clarity of land leasing ownership, the effectiveness of dispute resolution mechanisms and the transparency of the land transactions. The findings suggest that improving land leasing security can enhance residential development in Uganda and promote economic growth. Policy makers and stakeholders should prioritize efforts to improve land leasing security through legal and regulatory frameworks and effective resolution mechanisms. | en_US |
