| dc.description.abstract | This study focuses on assessing the effectiveness of RBF in health centers in Lira City West with a specific case study of Ayago HCIII. RBF is an approach which ties financial incentives to the achievement of a predetermined health services outcomes. The study examines various indicators such as OPD visits, ANC, and child immunizations (DPT 1, 2, 3) before and after implementation of RBF. In Ayago HCIII, RBF was introduced in 2020.
Data was collected from Ayago HCIII and analyzed with methods, including descriptive analysis and t-test for bivariate analysis. The findings suggest positive impact of RBF implementation on the health service indicators. OPD visits, institutional deliveries and ANC services exhibited significant improvements after RBF implementation. However, the impact child immunization (DPT1, DPT2, and DPT3) showed mixed results. DPT1 and DPT2 showed very weak improvements after implementation.
The study indicates that RBF has been effective in improving the health service utilization in Ayago HCIII, particularly in the areas of institutional deliveries and ANC, while improvements were observed across most indicators, there were variations in child immunizations (DPT). | en_US |
