The post covid-19 impact on the revenue of small-scale business owners in Uganda: Case study, Wakiso district
Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has left an indelible mark on economies worldwide, with small-scale businesses being particularly vulnerable to its effects. This dissertation examines the impact of the pandemic on the revenue of small-scale business owners in Uganda, focusing on a case study conducted in Wakiso District. Through a comprehensive analysis of data collected from interviews and surveys, this research uncovers the unique challenges faced by small-scale businesses in the district. The study explores the strategies these businesses employed to adapt and survive in the face of unprecedented disruptions. Additionally, the effectiveness of government policies and support initiatives is evaluated to determine their contribution to mitigating the post Covid impact on the business landscape. By delving into real-life examples and conducting an in-depth analysis, this dissertation sheds light on the resilience of small-scale businesses, while offering insights and recommendations for policymakers and entrepreneurs alike.
