Kemigisha Nina is a tall beautiful light-skinned young lady who is torn between comfort and family. She has just graduated from Makerere University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance. Despite Mr. Frank Kemigisha’s poverty stricken state, he manages to push her through her education since she is his only child. Mr.Kemigisha, her only surviving parent vendors self-made herbal medicine in the streets of Kampala to earn a living for his daughter and himself. Unfortunately, Nina is not satisfied with the life she is living at her home with her father. She thinks that there is more life has to offer her than just a small, rusty and nasty house that her father can afford. She wants a life of comfort, living in a mansion, feeding as she wishes every day and maybe finding a job to cover her bills. Nina resents her father deeply because he is so poor and she Wishes she had a choice to choose a father before her birth. In search for greener pastures, Nina requests her boyfriend, Grey Johnson in Kampala to host her at his mansion claiming she has no place to stay. Grey Johnson lives with his elder brother Matthew Johnson, who owns this mansion. Therefore, Grey must ask him for his say on the matter. He lies to Matthew that Nina is his best friend from university and is in dire need of a place to stay. Despite his rigid nature towards women, Grey convinces him to allow Nina stay with them for a year. Nina is excited about this set up because she gets to meet her online boyfriend physically for their first time. On sunset, Nina parades in her father’s presence with all her suitcases ready to go. This disheartens her poor old father but he lets her go. After all, she is now an adult who he can’t tell what to do. She chooses comfort over her only family, Mr. Frank Kemigisha. At the end, Nina finds more than she anticipates for at the Matthew Mansion.en_US
