dc.description.abstractThis dissertation investigates the multifaceted factors influencing attendance to preprimary schools. The survey employs collection of data from parents with preprimary going age children within Wakiso district to comprehensively analyze the challenges and opportunities surrounding early childhood education in this region. The finding reveal that access to preprimary education in Wakiso district is hindered by a combination of socioeconomic disparities, inadequate infrastructure and a lack of awareness about the importance of early childhood education. In light of this findings, this research, underscores the importance of targeted policies, community engagement and public awareness campaigns to address the access barriers to preprimary education in Wakiso district. The study’s insights contribute to the ongoing efforts to improve early childhood education in the region emphasizing its vital role in shaping the future of children and communitiesen_US
