This study assesses factors influencing chicken rearing in Uganda through quantitative cross-sectional research, capturing a snapshot of 20 poultry farmers. Data analysis begins with univariate analysis using descriptive statistics, proceeds to bivariate analysis with Pearson's correlation coefficient, and concludes with multivariate linear regression analysis. Significant variables from the regression model include gender, where females rear fewer birds than males. Spending on hired workers negatively impacts bird rearing, while higher spending on water correlates with more birds reared. Purchasing additional water reduces bird numbers. Recommendations: Gender-specific support and training programs should empower female poultry farmers. Efforts to reduce gender-based resource disparities are essential. Optimize labor costs without compromising bird care quality. Invest in improved water supply and management systems for consistent availability. Explore water efficiency and conservation strategies, such as leak repairs and water-saving technologiesen_US
