dc.description.abstractThis research was done on the good and bad perceptions students have on local languages in universities and how we can overcome those bad perceptions from them. According to our research as a group this is what we found out. first of all, students in universities believe that local languages are for local people in villages, local languages are for uneducated people , local languages are done by weak students in schools and many others . Some of the good perceptions which we found out were; Local languages are done by many students especially in secondary schools, many people have been employed because they have knowledge on local languages such local language teachers. the we found out that these bad perceptions students in universities can be overcome through encouraging students to offer them in school, the government should buy more books in local languages and ensure that they ready in schools and many others.en_US
