Child kidnapping and disappearance pose significant threats to the safety of countless children worldwide, with Uganda alone experiencing alarming statistics of approximately 2,400 reported kidnappings in 2016. Tragically, the inability to meet ransom demands often results in devastating consequences for these abducted individuals. Regrettably, security agencies currently lack the necessary means to effectively track and rescue victims in a timely manner. In response to this pressing issue, we have developed a comprehensive Software Requirements Document that outlines crucial functionalities such as location monitoring, panic alerts, and timely notifications. Employing powerful tools such as Visual Studio Code, Arduino IDE, and Arduino Uno, we meticulously implemented these requirements. Rigorous inspections and testing of the Miniature Child Tracking System (MCTS) ensured the seamless operation, adherence to requirements, and heightened security of its hardware, software, and network components. With successful implementation and thorough testing, we progressed to the installation phase, culminating in eagerly anticipated acceptance testing. This significant milestone showcased the MCTS's potential to revolutionize child safety and address existing challenges, offering a path towards increased child protection and granting much-needed peace of mind to concerned parents and guardians.
