This book presents the design and implementation of a comprehensive system for monitoring and tracking mentally ill patients. The system aims to enhance the quality of care provided to individuals suffering from mental illnesses by leveraging technological advancements in healthcare. By employing a combination of a GPS tracker, audio recorder and machine learning. A website and a mobile application, the system enables continuous monitoring, real-time feedback, and proactive intervention for patients, improving their overall well-being and reducing the burden on healthcare providers.
The system consists of a wearable device equipped with a GPS tracker that collects location from the patients. This device transmits the data securely to a centralized database, where it can be used for effective tracking of the patients. Healthcare professionals can access the system through a user-friendly web interface or and caretakers through a mobile application, allowing them to monitor patient progress, identify potential issues, and intervene when necessary.
Key features of the system include real-time alerts triggered by defined constraints to notify caretakers of what is happening in the patient environment.
