A computer program to calculate profitability of a trader’s strategy

Abstract

The main objective of the program is to enable traders at the professional and intermediate levels be able to calculate the profits and losses obtained after using a specific strategy over a period of time that is meant to help evaluate their profitability while using that particular strategy so as to find an edge in there trading career. There were specific objectives as regards to making the required risk management calculations using this program that help in calculate profits. The target population was intermediate and professional traders where I used my own data set as an intermediate trader and this was got from my trading journal in the meta trader four platform. It was found out that the strategy I use is not profitable as the average profits calculated over a one-month period was -$40 from a deposit of $40 The trader should work on other factors that are limiting the strategy like patience and greed to be able to capture relatively more profits than the losses. The trader should also improve on his risk management so that to minimize the size of the losses in relation to capital.
