Analysis on factors influencing the method of garbage disposal in Kasubi town.

Abstract

Introduction and Significance The study was conducted in Kasubi Town, Kampala, Uganda. The objective of the study was to determine the factors influencing the method of garbage disposal in Kasubi Town. Methods The research methodology for the study was descriptive cross-sectional research design and quantitative data was employed to get a clear understanding of the factors influencing garbage collection in Kasubi town. The researcher used primary data and the data was analyzed using SPSS and STATA 15. In order to come up with clearer results, some variables were further organized and grouped. Results The study findings indicated that there was no relationship between the method of garbage collection and the location of respondents since the calculated p-value was greater than the critical value (p=0.818>p=0.05) hence the two variables were independent of other. The study results also indicated that there was a relationship between the method of garbage collection and the education level as the (p=0.024<p=0.05) which was less than the critical value. Conclusions The study concluded that education level has a significant relationship on the method of garbage collection in Kasubi town which is so critical for the management to emphasize on the unlike the location of the respondents which have no significant impact on the method of garbage disposal in Kasubi Town.
