dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between attitude, on job training and commitment of employees at the work place. And to also examine the relationship between the variable that is; attitude, on job training and commitment. A correlational study design was used in the study to establish the relationship between the variables among workers at Kiruddu referral hospital. The objectives of the study were to establish the effect of attitude on job training and employee commitment. Intermediate variable being attitude and job training; and the dependent variable was employee commitment. Quantitative data was compiled by using the statistical package for social scientists (SPSS) to obtain descriptive data, frequencies, and correlational tables. The study revealed that majority of the respondents were male (60.0%) while the women were (40.0%), majority of the respondents were between the age bracket of 0-25 years with a percentage of (40.0%) in the organization and a great number of employees had attained a bachelor’s level of education (45.7%). Nevertheless, results showed that attitude had a negative significant relationship with on job training, on job training had a positive significant relationship with commitment and attitude also had a significant relationship towards commitment. Through this research project the researcher suggested that organizations should be more aware of customizing training programs to align with individual employee goals and interests that fostered a sense of commitment. When employees so the relevance of training to their career aspirations, they were more likely to be engaged and committed to the organization. Acknowledging and rewarding employees who actively participated in training programs reinforced a positive attitude towards learning. Recognition was in the form of promotions, bonuses or opportunities for skill utilization.en_US
