dc.description.abstractFactors affecting the adoption of electronic payment of tuition in Makerere University was carried out in Makerere University where a total of 102 students were interviewed. the study had the objectives which included to establish whether demographic factors are associated with adoption of electronic tuition payment, to establish whether trust in electronic payment has a relative advantage over the normal tuition payment, and to establish whether trust affects electronic tuition payment in Makerere University. The study was cross-sectional in nature. In conclusion the study revealed that adoption of Makerere university electronic payment was influenced by type of electronic payment available, gender where boys were more to use online transactions compared to the girls, younger students were more than older ones willing to engage the use of online tuition payment, feeling that online tuition payment is compatible with university rules and regulation, comfort of using electronic payment, ease of use, and security of electronic payment. Also course of study was found to significantly influence adoption of online tuition payment especially students from CHUSS, and COBAMS. Makerere University needs to carry out a massive sensitization project among students in order to show to them that online tuition payment was secure, it will help to increase the number of people will to use online tuition payment since they will be sure that their tuition payment is paid properly.en_US
