dc.description.abstract | The objective of this study was to examine the factors affecting family planning use in Uganda. The study put emphasis on demographic factors of the respondents as the independent variables and family planning use as the dependent variable. The study focused on establishing the relationship between demographic factors and family planning use. The data was got from UDHS data set which was collected by UBOS in 2016 and was analyzed using logistic regression analysis. From the research, it was revealed that age distribution was significant with a p-value of 0.000, educational level of women was significant with a p-value of 0.000. women who ever went to school was significant with a p-value of 0.000 and women who ever avoided pregnancy was significant with a p-value of 0.000. Basing on findings of the study, it is recommended that emphasis should be put on improving education in Uganda if the government is to achieve its goal of increasing family planning use. | en_US |
