dc.description.abstract | This research explores the role of songs as a stylistic strategy in Luganda folktales, focusing on their significance in enhancing narrative structures and engaging audiences. Folktales, as oral traditions passed down through generations, often incorporate songs as integral components of their storytelling process. This study aims to shed light on the multifaceted functions of songs within folktales, examining how they contribute to style, thematic and character development, plot advancement, and emotional resonance. The findings of this research will contribute to the existing research on Luganda folklore and narrative traditions by highlighting the unique role of songs as a stylistic strategy. Furthermore, it will provide a deeper understanding of the interplay between oral and song elements in storytelling, showing how songs enrich the narrative experience. Ultimately, this research aims to shed light on the broader implications of songs in Luganda folktales, transcending their aesthetic and entertainment value. | en_US |
