Utility companies need to monitor the condition of wooden poles regularly and predict their future condition accurately to operate their distribution system continuously and safely. This paper covers the design and implementation of a non-intrusive pole inspection device. The method includes steps of generating an acoustic signal, converting the signal into a digital signal that can be analyzed, comparing the data to already recorded values and determining whether the pole is safe or not.en_US
