The project is basically about ensuring security of internet of everything (IOE) through authentication and authorization at the application level. So here we have a smart phone (Android) operating as a smart device for example a smart bulb or a smart fridge. We then used an MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport) broker which in this case operates as a server connected to a central laptop in with a GUI. So commands from the broker are sent to the IOE devices telling them what to do. The IOE devices are not necessarily the intelligent type so all they do is perform instructions of yes and no coming from the broker. The authentication process will occur in such a way that particular IDs of the IOE devices are connected to the broker. Any other ID outside those in the broker will be denied access to the network. The authorization part will come from the password access control in that particular commands coming from the broker will be sent to the IOE devices with particular usernames and passwords needed to access it and will not be ably accessible by any other IOE devices connected to the network. So our project will try securing IOE devices in a network such that any other device outside may not be able to access the network and even though an IOT device connected to the network, it does not have access to other IOE devices without it having the correct password and usernames of the devices it’s trying to access.
