dc.description.abstractDepression is a serious problem among adolescents. The study aimed at examining the relationship between social support, self-esteem and depression among adolescents. A correlational design was used on a sample of 100 male and female respondents aged between 12-20 years were selected and a purpose constructed self-administered questionnaire was used to collect data which was later analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Scientists (SPSS). Spearman`s Rank Order Correlation Coefficient (rs) was used to measure the level of significance of hypotheses and results revealed that there is a significant relationship between social support and self-esteem among adolescents; there is a significant relationship between social support and depression and lastly, there is a significant relationship between self-esteem and depression.en_US
