dc.description.abstractMany adolescents are still thought to be abusing substances in the society which is brought about by the alternating levels of stress which has been attributed to the peer pressure from their parents or guardians. This research sought to examine the relationship between stress, peer pressure and substance abuse among adolescents. A correlational study design that is quantitative and descriptive was adopted to establish the relationship between the variables. A total of 100 respondents, both male and female participated in the study. Data collected was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), where Pearson Correlation Coefficient (r) was used to test the significance of the hypotheses. The study revealed that there was no significant relationship between stress and substance abuse among adolescents; the study also revealed that there was a significant relationship between stress and peer pressure among adolescents. The study further showed that there was a significant relationship between peer pressure and substance abuse among adolescents.en_US
