dc.description.abstractThe purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between self-esteem, depression and substance use among adolescents in few selected villages in Nakawa Division. The researcher did an in depth study of Documents and publications about depression, self-esteem and substance use. A sample of 100 people participated in this study, that is, 50 male and 50 female adolescents from Nakawa Division in Kampala District. Data was analyzed using tables and results show that that there is a significant relationship between self-esteem and Substance use. There is a significant relationship between Depression and Substance. Self-esteem and depression are not significantly related. Recommendations and conclusions about the research phenomena were made in relation to the results that came up from the data analysis.en_US
