dc.description.abstractThe study examined the relationship between employee emotional wellness, organisational commitment and intentions to stay among health care workers. It was intended to achieve the following objectives; to investigate the relationship between employee emotional wellness and the organisational commitment, to examine the relationship between organisational commitment and intentions to stay, and to examine the relationship between employee emotional wellness and intentions to stay among healthcare workers. The study adopted a correlation study design. The study used 100 respondents and data was collected by use of a self -administered standard questionnaire. That data was then analyzed using statistical package for social science (SPSS) version 21. Hypothesis was tested using Pearson‟s (r) Correlational Coefficient. The results of the study were; there is a positive significant relationship between employee emotional wellness and organisational commitment among healthcare workers(r=.424, p=.000) since (p=.000<0.01), there is a positive significant relationship between organisational commitment and intentions to stay (r=.793, p=.000), since (p=.000<0.01), there is positive significant relationship between employee emotional wellness and intentions to stay, (r=.415**, p=.000), since (p=.000<0.01), where if emotionally well, employees will be more willing to stay with the organisation. The study recommended introduction of more wellness programs that are engaging all employees and are in line with their preferences hence increased organisational commitment and intentions to stay of employees.en_US
