The objective of this study was to identify key promising agricultural value chains and related constraints in the agricultural pathways in Masindi. The assessment was made on demographic factors and other variables affecting performance of common actors in the value chain pathways. Using primary data based on a sample of 300 target actors from pakanyi, Kajuura, Bwijanga and Masindi port, a cross-sectional survey design was adopted where data was obtained from the actors using questionnaires. The analysis was made using StataSE 20 at three levels of analysis using frequency distribution, chi-square, and the ordered logistic regressions. In the results, the study findings showed the variables that significantly affect the performance of maize actors according to the research were identified as age, type of farming/maize supplier, experience, maize transportation and income. However household head type, technology and years of maize production/trade (P>0.05) insignificantly affected the performance of various actors in the maize communication pathways. The study concluded that Age, type of farming, experience and transport significantly affected performance of maize actors in Masindi while household head type and technology insignificantly affected the performance of various actors in the maize communication pathwaysen_US
