dc.description.abstractThe study investigated the relationship between occupational stress and job performance among nurses at Nsambya Hospital. The study aimed to achieve the following objectives; To examine the relationship between occupational stress and job performance among nurses. A correlation study design was used in the study to establish the relationship between occupational stress and job performance among nurses at Nsambya Hospital. The study used a sample of 50 respondents who were obtained using simple random sampling technique. Data was collected using self-administered questionnaires and later analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Scientists version 20. The findings show that there is a significant negative relationship between occupational stress and job performance since (p=.002< 0.01 at r=-.421**) in conclusion, this implies that presence or increase in occupational stress among nurses leads to a decrease in job performance among nurses at Nsambya Hospital.en_US
