The purpose of this research was to investigate the socio-economic determinants of self-perceived health of the people in Kamdini Sub-county, Oyam District. This purpose was to be met by finding out possible factors that determine self-perceived health of the people in the district. The research strategy was based on case study analysis of Kamdini Sub-County in Oyam District. This study was based on a sample of 100 residents from Kamdini Sub-County. The data obtained from the residents was captured in Excel and later imported to Stata for further analysis. Summary statistics such as mean, median, range and kurtosis were obtained for the variables under investigation. Correlation coefficients were obtained for all variables to investigate possible linear relationships that existed among them. A multivariate analysis based on logistic was also carried out on the variables of which:- Having a primary school education level reduced the likelihood of having a poor self-reported health status (OR=0.03181, P-value=0.027) compared to have education level as none (reference education level). Having education level of High school was associated with reduced likelihood of reporting a poor health status (OR = 0.1568, P-value = 0.170) than not acquiring any form of education at all (none). Having both university and college education level was also associated with reduced likelihood of reporting a poor health status of the people in kamdini township (both OR < 1). Higher expenses on health services by the residents of Kamdini Township was associated with a reduced likelihood of having self-reported health status as poor (OR= 0.9999, P-value = 0.266) compared to high expenses on other goods and services besides health which increased the likelihood of reporting poor health status by the residents of kamdini township (OR= 1, P-value = 0.022).en_US
