dc.description.abstractThe main aim of this project was to design a real time electronic voting machine which maintains a voting record of all candidates through messages sent as SMS to all Agents of various candidates at a given polling station as soon as a given number of votes are being cast in their favor and also sends the voting results i.e. the votes of all candidates as well as the total number of votes casted at the polling station to the main tally center as soon as the voting process is concluded. The benefits of a real-time electronic voting machine includes reduced costs to organize an election process in terms of printing ballots and the employees to monitor a voting process, Greater speed, accuracy and getting results to the tally center, offers a chance to illiterate people to easily cast votes for candidates of their choice by simply looking at picture of a candidate of their choice, reduces on time spent waiting for a winner, and all so eliminates the invalid votes.en_US
