dc.description.abstract | The main objective of this study was to examine the contribution of World Vision (WV) to the welfare of the people of Akwirididi parish, Aboke sub-county. This study targeted the beneficiaries of WV in Akwirididi parish, specifically from the villages of Acweanyira, Okello Cony, Akaoidebe and Teabolo.
A sample size of 80 beneficiaries was used and it consisted of 34 males and 46 females. Data for this research was collected through structured interview, using beneficiary questionnaires. The data consisted of non-multiple and multiple responses which were then analyzed at univariate and bivariate levels using SPSS.
This study found out that a greater number of WV beneficiaries benefited from education support services followed by health and agricultural support services. Conclusions made show that WV tackled the three aspects of welfare; education, health and agriculture as a source of livelihood and the various activities of WV positively influenced the livelihood of the people of Akwirididi parish, Aboke sub-county. | en_US |
