The study was mainly on the asssessement of knowledge, attitude and the utilization of online transportation services. The study objectives were to Investigate the relationship between students‟ knowledge and the utilization OTS, determine the relationship between individuals‟ attitudes and the utilization OTS, explore the relationship between age and the use of OTS, explore the relationship between year of study and the use of OTS, find out the relationship between sex and means of OTS adopted, determine the relationship between employment status and the means of OTS adopted, explore the relationship between age and the average monthly incomes incurred in OTS as well as exploring the relationship between employment status and average monthly incomes incurred in OTS. Data was analysed on three distinct levels, namely univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. Chi – square and logistic regression were used to test the research hypothesis. First a descriptive summary of the utilization of OTS, knowledge, students‟ characteristics and attitudes. This was done through frequency distribution tables and summary statistics. Males (71.7%) were more than females. Most of the students lie in the age group of 19 – 22 years (51%), 39.9% were in 23 – 26 years, and the minorities were in 27 and above (10.1%). The high percentage of students (34.3%) are in their second year, 29.3% are in third year, 24% are either in succeeding years or are perusing other programs, and the rest are in first year(12.1%). Majority of the students are unemployed (75.8%). According to the students‟ attitudes towards utilization of online transportation services regarding the sample selected students scored an average of 19.5. The characteristics that were significant predictors of status of utilization of OTS (P<0.05) were age group 23 – 26, as well as year of study, second and third year students. Employment status and sex of student were insignificant predictors of utilization of OTS. On the basis of the findings the following was recommended, more research should be done to acquire the tastes and preferences of different age groups, improvement and increase of services offered by the drivers of these online transportation services should be implemented, and improvement in the software technology of the application can enable mobile phone and tablet users operate it in a simple manner.en_US
