dc.description.abstract | Entrepreneurship is considered the economic engine by many countries in the world due to the fact that it involves the creation of new ventures that provide goods and services to people, creates jobs as well as enhancing the economic growth and development of any country. During the last few decades, recognition has been given to the importance of youth entrepreneurship as a pre-requisite for household-level poverty alleviation, national economic development, and the empowerment of youth (ILO. 2001). The Government of Uganda has put in place several policy vocational training (Uganda's Employment Challenge 2014) which are aimed at addressing the high youth unemployment in the country. Despite GOU's efforts to promote youth entrepreneurship, it is still not an attractive option of employment among Ugandans. Therefore the study sought out the Challenges and Prospects of Youth Entrepreneurship in Pece Division, Gulu District. | en_US |
