A study on Street Addressing system reveals that there are several benefits associated with street addressing, but with associated challenges if not well effected. In fact, it is one of the most feasible systematic and efficient approach which is recommendable for managing cities and town to enhance land use compliance and orderliness, property management, and locating of places. A sizable sample of planning authorities in developed and some developing countries have adopted street addressing successfully to effect urban management and governance in their towns and cities alongside easing navigation, civic identify/ way findings, ease provision of services among other benefits, however regardless of its potentials/possibilities, there has been little effort to apply this concept in urban management and governance of cities, revenue management and collection by the government of the republic of Uganda .for example land rates are the most important sources of local revenue for developed governments, this is because land is immobile therefore rates from land are of a certain sustainable source. Therefore, my study has been conducted to clearly examine status on naming roads, naming properties in Hoima municipality and stress out the potentials and applicability of street addressing in the management and governance of Hoima municipality which has been granted city status by the 10th parliament in 2018.en_US
