In a world full of increasing competition and decreasing profits, Companies have paid greater attention to Human resource function by using motivational strategies. Therefore motivation as a key aspect of Human Resource has gained popularity in both the academic field and industry. Motivation can be defined as discovering the needs of the staff and applying appropriate methods. Motivation, at the same time, stands for researching and creating necessary conditions in order that the hospital staff can work productively in line with organizational goals. The study was guided by three specific objectives: To determine the impact of allowances on performance of the firm, To determine the impact of job security on the performance of the firm and To determine the impact of on job training on firm’s performance. Both the empirical and theoretical literature was used looking at various past motivational theories and studies done related to the study. The study used cross sectional method and self administered questionnaires were used to collect data for analysis. Descriptive statistical analysis was done using SPSS version 20 on the collected data The study findings however showed that majority of the respondents agreed that allowances were paid to them as shown by a mean of 4.52 and that they were exposed to on job training as shown by a mean of 3.64 . The respondents also agreed that they felt safe and secure with benefits provided (mean=4.20) on the other hand they also concluded that wages were increased on merit (mean=3.66) the majority of the respondents also agreed that they met individual targets as shown by a mean of 4.38. Therefore firm’s are recommended to come up motivational strategies that are in relation with the current economic status and make good use of the SWOT analysis to better understand the business environment they face.en_US
