dc.description.abstract | A new system for electricity payment is presented as an updated version of electricity payment in Uganda, the electricity meter is designed and the code is developed for the functions to work. The prototype was fully a breadboard concept with circuits and logical flow diagrams developed, the code was developed in embedded C. The electricity payment system is able to automatically add the units paid upon payment, send the remaining units to a local server, to enable easy monitoring by the utility company. The new system of electricity payment will provide advantages like easy monitoring, reduce economic loses utility companies have been incurring. For this to happen, the utility company has to invest in infrastructure to improve the signal throughout the country. | en_US |
