This report presents finding of a study to evaluate the impact of Advance speed Warning signs on vehicle speeds on highway a case study at Kamengo and Bubule at sites or locations with posted speed limit with or without speed calming measures in the built-up areas (town centers) on Uganda national roads. The object was to assess the Impact of these speed signs by determining the average speeds before and after passing the speed signpost and to compare the average speeds for before and after. Speed data were collected using a speed gun following a design field setup. These speeds were statistically analyzed to determine the significance between measured speeds at different reference points, the mean speeds were found to be statistically significant for different scenarios. However further related studies are recommended on all the national roads in town centers.
