This study aimed at assessing the knowledge of boda boda riders about PrEP in Wandegeya taken to prevent HIV before having sex with a partner. It used primary data collected from different stages of boda boda in Wandegeya. A sample of 77 respondents was taken as the study population which was selected using stratified method and in each strata simple random method was used to select the sample. Data was analysed at two levels using stata software; univariate analysis which included frequency distribution tables and bi-variate analysis which included chi-square test as the measure of association. Results indicated that almost a third (64%) of the respondents were not knowledgeable about PrEP, half (51%) of the respondents were currently married, a higher proportion (64%) of the respondents resided in urban areas, almost third (65%) of the respondents did not have enough income, half (57%) of the respondents had never tested for HIV, a third (73%) of the respondents had easy access to condoms, more than quarter (35%) of the respondents were from other religion, quarter (29%) of the respondents did not attain any education level and more than half (55%) of the respondents were in the age group of 18-30 years. From bivariate analysis, results indicated that boda boda men who tested for HIV were knowledgeable about PrEP which make the stated null hypothesis for this variable false however, for age, marital status, wealth index, education, religion, accessibility to condoms and place of residence were insignificantly associated with knowledge on PrEP which make the stated hypothesis for these variables true. Therefore, I would recommend the public health sector and the government planning organization to invest more in informing the public about PrEP and encouraging them to use the medicine. Besides that, the medicine should be made accessible e by people in the society through cost reduction and even supplied in all hospitals and pharmacy all over the country.en_US
