dc.description.abstract | This study was aimed to investigate the perceptions people have towards walking on Kampala city streets and thereafter suggest recommendations that could be taken into practice to make the walking experience better for the pedestrian in Kampala city. This research was considered relevant and important as walking is part of every individual’s daily routine. No matter what equipment one uses, they always carry out a pedestrian-related activity every single day. From walking to a nearby corner shop to walking to work and school. ‘Everybody walks.’
Results from the study are arranged in five chapters. Chapter 1 contains the introduction stating the background of the study, research problem, objectives, questions, justification, the significance of the study and scope. Chapter 2 is the literature review, chapter four explains the methodology used to collect data, the target population, sources of data and data analysis and management techniques.
In chapter four, the research findings and discussions are presented. This includes the general overview of the respondents, field findings and discussions. Finally, chapter 5 containing the conclusion and recommendations attained from the study. | en_US |
