dc.description.abstract | Urba-Farm game is a motivational 2D Role-playing game (RPG) about urban farming developed for computers using game maker studio software. The aim of the game is to address the negative perception among youth towards farming in Uganda which has resulted into high unemployment rates in the country (Njeru 2017; Butler & Kebba, 2014).
The game is intended to arouse interest and motivate the youth into urban farming practice through simulating farming practices in the game world that are based on the actual farming practices in the physical environment.
This report describes the process followed to develop the Urban farm game application. it features, and as well as anticipated benefits. the report also provides an overview of related game applications, the current methods used to promote youth adoption of agriculture including those related to computer games and the strengths and weaknesses of these approaches. | en_US |
