dc.description.abstract | This project is about design of a motorized two wheeled electric scooter. As the rate of pollution in Uganda is gradually increasing. There is need to venture into a pollution free transport means as a way of cubing down the emissions.
The project is centered on the use of locally available materials to come up with an emissions free personal transportation device. It is tailored to synchronize with the current economic status of the Ugandan citizens; in order to enhance adoption of electric transport means in the country. The reason is because imported electric locomotives are extraordinarily expensive for most Ugandan citizens.
Much of the work revolved around the use of engineering knowledge to select system parameters for the scooter, concept generation and material selection. All these were based on a customer centered approach after carrying out a sample customer survey. | en_US |
