dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to assess the relationship between alcohol consumption and family stability. Alcohol consumption is a problem that is increasingly leading to the destruction of families. Different methods of data collection were used in collecting data during field work for example participant observation, interview and group discussions. Different research instruments like interview guide and observation checklist were used. The study showed that most participants have gone through different problems because of alcohol consumption for example imprisonment, family breakups, failure to provide basic necessities to the family, loss of lives, poor rising up of children and unemployment. Chapter one includes the background to the study, alcohol consumption and family experience, chapter two includes literature review, chapter three includes methodology, chapter four includes presentation and interpretation of findings and chapter five includes conclusion and recommendations.en_US
