dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to assess domestic violence in families in Kisigula village Wakiso District. It was specifically aimed to find out the factors, impacts and possible strategies that help to reduce domestic violence in families. It comprises of five chapters where chapter one includes the background to the study, objectives and statement of the problem. Chapter two includes literature review which is written in line with the objective of the study, this shows the opinions of other scholars who had did studies of domestic violence before. Chapter three includes research methodology where different data collection methods were used to gather information for example, participant observation, focus group discussions, key informant interviews, and research instruments which also include interview guide and observation check list. Chapter four shows a clear presentation and discussion of the findings. In the findings, it was revealed that women are the most people that are negatively affected by domestic violence. However, to some extend men are also violated by their wives. Chapter has the conclusion and recommendation of the study.en_US
